Troubleshooting

I Cannot Add a Domain or Page

Why the Add Domain or Add URL options are missing or show an error in AccessBell: roles, subscription status, plan limits and pages on the wrong domain.

Table of contents

The Add Domain Button Is Missing

Only Admins and the Owner can add domains. Ask one of them, or ask the Owner to change your role. See Invite teammates and set roles.

“Start your 3-day free trial to use this feature”

Your team does not have an active subscription yet, or it has ended. The Owner can start or restart it from Billing. If the message says Your last payment failed, see Failed payments.

“Your plan covers 1 domain. Add another domain in Billing to monitor more.”

Every domain slot in your plan is taken. The number in the message is how many your plan includes. Remove a domain you no longer need, or add more domains to your plan.

“That page is not on example.com”

Pages must be on the domain’s own address. To monitor blog.example.com under example.com, turn on Include subdomains in the domain’s Settings. Otherwise, add it as a separate domain.

“Pro monitors up to 500 URLs per domain”

The domain already monitors 500 URLs. Stop monitoring a page you need less, or talk to us about a larger limit.

“example.com is already in your account”

The domain has already been added. Find it under Domains in the sidebar.

The Monitor and Scan Now Buttons Are Missing

Viewers cannot change pages or run scans, and neither can anyone while the subscription is inactive. Check your role in Team and your status in Billing.
